NOTHING :p
What’s wrong with an LS-swapped Tesla? If you put in an LS9, you’ll still have ludicrous mode :o)

Miata and other super small underpowered roadsters are made worse by LS swaps. It ruins the whole purpose of the car. A mild-hot turbo (200whp maybe) is about right for a Miata, still maintaining the joy of the car without ruining it with unusable overpowered grunt.

Wait, someone is actually LS swapping a Tesla? Or is that a joke mock-up or ‘shop? Yeah, that’d be worse.

Lots of small front wheel drive cars. Between not fitting, weight distribution and torque steer, just not the right equation.
On the opposite end of things, there are fairly few RWD cars that would get worse with a well done LS swap. It’s going to be equal to if not lighter than most other engines it replaces, and have as good as if not better power.
The set of RWD cars that would get worse with an LS swap would probably be cars whose driving characteristics would be ruined, cars whose weight distribution still would be bad, and cars whose identity are tied to their engines(I’m thinking a skyline and the inline six).

I’d take one with an LS3 (if it existed) over one with the LT1.

That’s what I would do, but with the Maserati GT motor, sounds like an Italian angel orgy.

I think Neil hit the nail on the head with it being worse if the car’s identity is tied up with its powertrain. Mazda rotaries, XJS V12s, E30 M3s etc.
Personally, I’m a bit of an engine swap snob. In general I’m not a fan of an engine swap unless it’s either from the same manufacturer, a manufacturer with a solid connection (could be taken from the corporate parts bin), or has a separate connection (for instance, the Saab B and H engines are developments from the Triumph Slant 4, so a Saab B in a Triumph is good).
It’s not that cars with LS swaps and the like are bad cars at all, but it always strikes me as less impressive: taking the easy road and sacrificing that little spark of brilliance that comes from an engine swap where all the stars align...

I don’t know any FWD cars that couldn’t accept an LS4.

Viper and Hellcat, not too much else. Yes, even a Tesla would be better with an LS swap, and lose half a ton in the process.

But it doesn’t really throw off the weight distribution much. So its just more power with basically no downsides. It is just somewhat expensive but POWAHHH. I mean sure, you might have to use some throttle control and not floor it all the time, but I don’t think that is a bad problem to have.

If they can get big block Chevy’s and Cadillac 500's into a Chevette. You can get a LS into a Civic and no it won’t kill you anymore than when the VTEC kicks in Yo.
But ya, the weight balance would be a “little” off.

Should save a ton of weight and make it a surprisingly lightweight executive sedan. I think it could work.

Those cars would all be improved by having an LS mounted where the back seats are.

Only if you do what Honda keep doing and install the engine in the wrong place.
